Understanding Values with NLP and Spiral Dynamics
- an introduction
Values govern all human behaviour. They are the key to predicting and understanding our own and others behaviour.
This programme offers a brief introduction to 'Spiral Dynamics' as a way of understanding individual, group, and societal values. It is intended to offer a brief insight and awareness into what is a detailed, complex, and fascinating approach to human behaviour, and to societal change and evolution.
The course comprises 11 video sessions of edited video footage from a presentation to a NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Master Practitioner group, with a running time around 70 minutes. It begins with a short exploration of the nature of values, and the origins of 'Spiral Dynamics' as a way of understanding the way in which values evolve individually and socially.
Each of seven evolutionary values 'levels' are then introduced in turn, and their relevance and implications for behaviour and communication are discussed. PDF handouts are included for each level.
Sources of further information and training are suggested at the end of the programme.
